Legal notice

1. Purpose
This policy governs the formal process for issuing or responding to legal notices related to the use of Olix.pk. A "Legal Notice" is defined as a formal written communication sent by an aggrieved party to another to resolve a dispute before initiating court proceedings.

2. Sending a Legal Notice to Olix.pk
If you have a legal grievance against the platform (e.g., data privacy concerns or unauthorized content), your notice must include:
  • Sender Information: Full legal name, address, and contact details.
  • Recipient Details: Directed to the authorized legal representative or corporate office of Olix.pk.
  • Clear Subject Line: Briefly stating the purpose (e.g., "Legal Notice for Trademark Infringement").
  • Statement of Facts: A chronological account of the events leading to the grievance.
  • Demands & Deadline: Specific actions required (e.g., removal of an ad) and a timeframe for compliance, typically 7 to 14 days.

3. Intellectual Property (IP) Infringement
In line with OLX Global B.V. policies, Olix.pk will act upon reports of counterfeit or replica products that infringe on brand rights. Legal notices regarding IP should include:
  • Proof of ownership of the trademark or copyright.
  • The exact URL(s) of the infringing listings.

4. Service of Notice on Users
Olix.pk reserves the right to forward legal notices or relevant information to users if requested by law enforcement or a valid court order. Users are responsible for ensuring their contact information is accurate for the receipt of such notices.

5. Response Procedure
Upon receiving a legal notice, Olix.pk (or the recipient user) should:
  • Verify the Claim: Check if the demand has a valid legal basis under Pakistan's laws.
  • Respond Without Prejudice: Any reply should state that it is "without prejudice" to protect the party's legal rights in future litigation.
  • Adhere to Limitations: Responses must be sent within the timeframe specified in the notice to avoid escalating the matter to court.

6. Prohibited Content
Legal notices will not be entertained for items explicitly prohibited on the platform, such as illegal weapons, drugs, or stolen goods, as these are subject to immediate removal and criminal reporting.
